Spero is amazing, I am not really sure how to put into words how grateful I am. My son (aged 9) has been suffering from CRPS for 3 years and he is now in full remission.
Every member of staff genuinely cares for you, and is there to help and support you every step of the way. It was the first place that my son’s pain was genuinely understood.
When we arrived at Spero he had lost all hope he was in a wheelchair and unable to do anything as the pain was just too much. I hadn’t seen him smile for so long, he just wanted it to end. All previous treatments hadn’t worked for him. But with the support of the amazing people here at Spero he was shown that there was hope. It is has been hard work, and challenging for him both mentally and physically, but 100% worth it.
I am now leaving with a cheeky, lively 9-year-old, who is just desperate to go out and live his life to the max. We will be returning to Australia feeling very lucky to have had the chance to meet so many inspiring patients and therapists.
