The Spero Clinic Reviews: Michelle’s Journey With CRPS, POTS, EDS & Gastroparesis
Michelle Gives Her Testimonial Of Her Journey With CRPS, POTS, EDS & Gastroparesis
Video Summary
Michelle was bedridden due to CRPS, experiencing severe pain, full-body convulsions, and seizures that made even basic mobility, like going to the bathroom, extremely challenging.
She lived with the condition for 15 years, which began after being hit by a softball, leading to unexpected and severe health complications.
After treatment at Spero, Michelle reports her pain level has dropped to zero and has maintained this for almost a month, with no occurrences of seizures or convulsions.
She continues to manage other related conditions such as POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and gastroparesis, which still affect her daily life.
Michelle is looking forward to returning to normal activities, like enjoying a hot tub, which she hasn’t done since a negative experience in 2016 that significantly impacted her mobility.
Suffering from a Neurological disorder can be incredibly isolating, hopeless and frightening and we understand that. Our treatment protocols are not meant to directly treat CRPS. What we work to achieve is the rehabilitation of the central nervous system.
The nervous system is a collective of nerves stemming throughout your body with the brain as the controller. Your nervous system controls all of the information that your body transmits to communicate with your brain. In the case of CRPS, your nervous system being damaged, can severely malfunction and send signals in the extreme to simple sensory input. i.e. – the wind blows on your hands and it feels like a terrible burn. By relaxing and rehabilitating the nervous system, as well as correcting any other imbalances within your brain and body, we hope to reset and restore the proper functionality of the systems within your body.
** We are currently the only facility in the world offering this treatment, our expertise is constantly being developed.
Each patient brings new knowledge and a better understanding of conditions that are widely misunderstood. At The Spero Clinic, it enables us to consistently mold and change our treatment protocol to be the most effective that we possibly can.
Before I came to Spero, I was bedridden with seizures, compulsing, it was full body.
I couldn’t even go to my bathroom really because it was just too far, and getting out of bed was just way too painful. And I was scared I’d have a seizure standing up and fall down.
And then I’ve had it for 15 years, so started with getting hit by a softball which no one would think.
[What is your pain at now?]
Today, my pain is at zero and it’s been at a zero for almost a month,
That’s awesome. Are you having seizures, anything?
No, no seizures, no convulsions. The only thing I’m dealing with is my POTS and my gastroparesis.
[What are you looking forward to going home?]
I can’t wait to go home and go to a hot tub again because I haven’t been able to since right after college. So 2016, I graduated and I went in a hot tub at a hotel and I couldn’t walk after that and had to relearn to walk from the beginning. So that was very hard. So I just can’t wait to be able to go in a hot tub again like I did as a kid my whole life.
