The Short Answer:
CRPS Remission is possible. Many patients who suffer from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) are able to achieve remission from CRPS.
The Long Answer:
The concept of a “cure” is a delicate and often subjective topic. When you consider CRPS recovery or a “cure”, you may imagine a miraculous pill, injection, surgery, or a groundbreaking study that suddenly eliminates CRPS. This is not the case. It is not a condition that can be healed by a miracle chemical; it is a body where a whole bunch of things went wrong.
It is important that you understand that CRPS was not caused by just one event, and if you’re going to heal it, it’s not just going to be healed by one thing or one procedure. It has to be turned around, as a whole, so that the body can heal from within, as a whole.
CRPS does not have to be a life sentence. While it is incredibly complex and complicated, it is by no means impossible to unravel. We watch patients overcome this disease every day. If they can do it, you can, too!
Many patients do enter long-term remission and live active, fulfilling lives. Full recovery is possible, though it usually depends on early diagnosis, individualized treatment, and addressing multiple aspects of the body’s systems involved in CRPS.
