Spero is a special place, as are the staff and doctors. The program and staff gave our 12 yr. old daughter her life and future back. After chasing chronic pain diagnoses and treatments thru traditional routes we were able through late night research, serendipity and speaking with past patients to arrive at The Spero Clinic to begin treatments for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). From the first time you walk thru the doors you feel the positivity and the hope begins to take on a life of its own.
We arrived with our daughter in a wheelchair and only having use of her right arm with full body pain and sensitivity. Long story, short – within a couple weeks she was up and walking, pain and sensitivity dropping. After a strenuous and intense 13 weeks (with plenty of speed bumps) she “rang the bell” walked out pain free and full bodied to return to/begin her life, as she knew it before CRPS.
The staff and doctors are healers at their core with many having experienced the pain and related disabilities they are treating themselves. This relationship with the syndromes and inspiration they provide, as they encourage their patients to push past where they thought their limit was leads to results once thought impossible (a word that isn’t uttered). Hope truly does live here!
